We left Alliance, NE and drove to Chimney Rocks. It is a huge rock the is in the shape of a Chimney. We decided not to tour the museum, but just too view the rock. From there we drove to Courthouse and Jail rocks. They are located down a dirt road. I am not sure how they got their names, but they are two rocks that stand out among the flat Nebraska landscape.
Our next stop was the Golden Spike Tower in North Platte, NE. If you are a train fan, you must stop here. There are thousands and thousands of train cars. It is a huff train depot for Union Pacific railroad. You can go up in the tower and look out over the train yard. They also have flags for each of the states that they have train tracks in.
After getting our fill of trains, we headed to Oakley, KS where we are staying the night.
