Today, after breakfast and checking out of the hotel, we headed to Stirling Castle. It opened at 9:30, and we arrived shortly after that. We walked around the castle, and it was very windy.
After leaving the castle, we headed back to Glasgow to return the rental car. It was about an hour and forty minutes to the rental car location, and the drive was uneventful. We returned the rental car, and they did not note any additional scratches or dents.
We then took a taxi to the hotel where we were spending the night. When we arrived, our room was ready, so we were able to go directly upstairs. After dropping off our luggage, we needed to walk back to the hotel where we had previously stayed in Glasgow because I had left my Kindle e-reader in the room. I had called the hotel earlier, and housekeeping had turned it in. I asked them to please hold it until we returned to Glasgow.
It was a 22-minute walk, mostly downhill, to the hotel. They did have the Kindle, and I was able to get it back. Then it was a 22-minute walk back uphill to the hotel where we were staying this time. We did stop for lunch along the way.
Later, Jay went to the hotel gym to work out while I went back to our room to read my Kindle. A few hours later, we went out for dinner and then returned to the hotel to relax and call it a night.
