Day 9 – Tuesday, July 13
Today, was our second day exploring Yellowstone National Park. We again entered at the East Entrance. There were a few more cars today, than yesterday. This time, when we got to the Fishing Bridge, we turned north to Canyon Village. Then we went west toward Norris. At Norris, we went north. We made several stops along the way. One of the stops was at Sheepeater Cliff where we ate lunch. We continued north to Mammoth Hot Springs. After stopping at the Hot Springs Terraces, we headed east. At Tower Roosevelt, the road south was closed so we continued heading east through the Lamar Valley. This was very pretty and we saw a lot of bison along the way. We exited the park and took the Beartooth Highway toward Cody. This is a very beautiful drive, but you have to watch for cattle on the roadway because it is open range. We arrived back in Cody.
