Today is a national holiday in Greece. It is their Labor Day. In Athens, some of the public transportations like the metro and buses are on strike today. We are in Nafplio, so we were going to see some of the sights, The first was the Palamidi Fortress. We drove up to it, parked the car and got out and discovered it was closed for the holiday. Next, we tried to find the Lion of Bavaria. After driving by it a couple of times, we finally found it. It is a sleeping lion that is carved into the rock. After that we went and ate lunch, then I went back to the hotel to rest. Jay walked around Nafplio and bought some souvenirs.
