Today we are still in Prague. It is around 30 degrees Fahrenheit outside. We started out by eating breakfast at our hotel. We then got dressed to go out. I am from Florida, so I am not used to the cold. I started with my thermal underwear, then a long sleeve shirt and jeans, followed by a fleece jacked and finally my long puffer coat. I topped it all off with a wool beanie hat, wool scarf, gloves and fur lined boots. I was not going to be cold.
I decided to use my walking sticks because the ice could be slippery. I did not have the correct tips for using them on the ice. Thank goodness, there was very little actual ice on the sidewalks. We walked down to the Old Town square where they have a Christmas Market. It is about a 5-minute walk from our hotel. We wandered around looking around at the different food and drinks. After a while we walked back to our hotel to rest.
Around 4, we wandered out again back to the Christmas Market. We looked at the various food, I wanted to try some, but Jay didn’t, so instead we ate at a restaurant. The restaurant was outside with heaters. Jay had a steak and potatoes; I had the pasta with olive oil. It was OK. The lights on the Christmas tree were turned on because it had gotten dark. The lights also blinked on and off in a pattern. There was also a show at one end of the Market. It looked like it was for children. After walking around for a while, we decided to call it a night and head back to our hotel.
