This morning we drove into Philipsburg to make reservations to go to St. Barth tomorrow. It is $80 round trip for one adult. We decided we would go there and spend the day and explore a different island.
after making the reservation for St. Barth, we headed to Loterie Farm which is at the foot of Pic Paradis. We decided to the one hour hike. It is definitely a hike. It is a moderate to hard hike. For me, it was a hard hike. It was hot and we were hiking up hill. at one point we were supposed to turn down hill, but I think we went the wrong way and entered the hard part of the hike. We were having to pull ourselves up hill by the rope. When we got to one point where we were going to have to climb over some rocks, I told Jay, that I could not make it over the rocks. Jay agreed to turn around and we headed back down the hill the way we came. You had to be careful because there was gravel on the path and if you went too fast you would slip, there were a couple of times Jay had to grab the rope along the side of the trail to keep from slipping over the side. I on the other hand held onto trees to keep from following. I was so happy when we made it down the hill. I was tired, hot, sweaty and exhausted.
We headed back to the hotel, where I took a shower and then a nap.
