Barbados: Day 2

We got up this morning and ate breakfast.  Our breakfast was comped because of the room mix up from the previous day.  After breakfast, we got in the car and headed for Harrison’s Cave.  Harrison’s Cave is located in the middle of Barbados in the area of St. Thomas.  They have a tram that will take you into the caves.  Our tour guide was Peter and he was very knowledgeable about the cave.  It was not as cool in the cave as I was expecting.  Water dripped on you from the roof of the cave.

After the cave tour, we drove to Flower Forest which was in the same area.  It was very peaceful and beautiful on the trails through the forest.  It was also pretty easy walking on the path.  We ate lunch in the cafe located there.  After that we returned back to the hotel for a short rest.

Since it was Friday, I wanted to go to Oistin’s Fish Fry for supper.  It is the place to go on Friday’s.   They have a lot of vendors selling all kinds of fish.  On Friday’s they also have music and entertainment.  I really did not want to drive, so we took a taxi.  It was $15 US each way, but I am glad we took a taxi because I wasn’t sure we could fine a parking space.  I am glad we took the taxi, it was very crowded.  I had the flying fish.  It was pretty good.  Jay had a whole snapper that was grilled.  After we enjoyed the music for a bit before we took a taxi back to our hotel.
