Delphi

Today is Mother’s Day.  Jay had bought me a card before we ever left the US and kept it hidden in his suitcase until he gave it to me today.  We are driving today from Volos to Delphi.  Our first stop is the Castle of Lamia. You have to park your car and get out and walk up a hill.  The walk up the hill is not too difficult or too far.  The outside wall of the castle is pretty much intact.  There is also a small museum.  After the castle we drove to the Bralo British Military Cemetary.  It is just a small cemetary honoring the soldiers who died in WW I.  There are 102 persons buried there.

Next we traveled on to our hotel in Delphi.  We will be here for 2 nights.  Today we checked into the hotel which is on one of the main streets in Delphi.  Parking is allowed on only on one side of the street.    We walked around a little bit, then had dinner and returned to our hotel.  Tomorrow we will visit the sites of Delphi.
