Saturday, we spent the day just wandering around Santorini, Every day we have been on Santorini, there have been 2 cruise ships in port. The crowds are starting to come, but it is not nearly as bad as it will get later in the summer. Tonight, we have plans to attend the Greek Wedding Show. It is an9 interactive show based on a Greek wedding. It was crowded an6d there was a group of about 20 twentysomethings th9at must have been there for a wedding party. Once you get inside, you have assigned tables. Somehow, Jay and I ended up at table #1, *which was right down front. I think we both would have felt more comfortable sitting in the back. My favorite part was toward the end when they gave everybody plates and you got to break them. It was interesting.
Sunday, We took the ferry to Crete. We were able to get a late check out until 1:00 PM, We were scheduled to be picked up by our driver at 2, so we hung out in the hotel lobby for an hour. We got to the ferry port in time to eat lunch. Our ferry was not leaving until 4. It was a fast ferry and was due to get into Crete at 5:45. I had arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the port and take us to the airport to get our rental car. After getting our rental car I texted the owner of the apartment rental that we were on our way. He met us in the plaza of this tiny village. We had to park our car at the plaza and walk to the apartment. It was down a couple of one lane roads. Our rental as two bedrooms and two bathrooms and is on two floors. = It ha7s a great view off the back balcanies.
After getting checked in, we went looking for somewhere to eat dinner. 5 We found this little restaurant, just off the plaza. I wasn’t sure it was a restaurant so I had to ask. We were the only ones there, but the food was good and they were pleasant. Then back to our rental unit, so Jay could do laundry.
Monday, we drove to the Palace of Knosses. It was very impressive . Then we drove to another site. We found someplace to eat dinner, then we went to a grocery store and back to our rental unit.
