We had a long drive today, so we got up at 7 and ate breakfast. After breakfast we pack up and checked out of the hotel. Our first stop was in Broc where we visited the Maisson Cailler Chocolate factory. It was interesting learning their history and all about chocoalte. I also bought chocolate to take home with us.
Next we drove to Gruyere to tour a cheese factory. Since I don’t eat cheese, aI did not get a whole lot out of it The first thing we saw was a big vat of cheese misture being cooked and stirred. There was a bunch of people staning there just entranced by it. After a few minutes, I did not see what the big deal was. We did not stary there very long. We continued driving. Jay made the decision to skip Interlacken, because it was getting late, so we headed to our hotel.
We found our hotel without too much difficulty and was able to secure a parking place in fron to of the hotel for us to unload the car. We got all our luggage out of the car and pushed it into the hotel. When I told them I had a reservation, they said they were sorry, but they were overbooked. Someone did not check out of the hotel like they were supposed to. They had made us a reservation at another nearby hotel. I didn’t say anything to them, just turned around and headed back to our car where we loaded the luggage back into the car. The new hotel we drove around and could not figure out how to drive to the front of the hotel, so we found a parking garage nearby and parked and walked 4 minutes t the hotel. chocolate candies over to apologize. I don’t think there is any excuse for bumping a paid reservation
Jay and I walked around and ate dinner. I am still getting over my cold.
