[dropcap custom_class=”whb”]This Christmas, Jay and I decided to travel to San Diego. We wanted to go somewhere that would not be cold. The tickets we got was for a flight out of Tampa at 5:20 Christmas Eve, We packed up our car with our luggage and our German Shepherd, Shadow and left around 8:30 in the morning. I had taken our other dog, Zack to the vet the day before and we had dropped our cat off on Saturday at my brothers. It had been raining heavily the day before, so I had not gotten gas. The plan was to stop and get gas, then drop Shadow off at his kennel and then head on to Tampa. When we got to the gas station, they were having a power outage and we could not get gas. I had to bsck track to find another station that had gas. We had left before it started raining, but by the time we reached Shadow’s kennel it was raining again. We dropped him off anyway and headed on to Tampa. We got in s heavy downpour for a few miles and then it stopped raining. After that it rained off and on until we reached Tampa. We arrived around 2 PM, well ahead of our departure time. Going through security was a breeze, it was not at all busy. We ate at the airport at Chili’s and then found our gate to wait for our departure.

They boarded us on the plane and then we sat on the runway for about 30 minutes because of the bad weather. There was some turbulence on the flight but it was not too bad. We had to run through the airport to make our second flight. But we made it and arrived in San Diego.
It took a while for our the luggage to be off loaded from the plane and to come up on the carousel. But we finally collected our luggage and found a taxi. It was a $15 cab ride to the hotel. Check in was a breeze and we found our room. Since it was late, we decided to order room service.
