Today we were spending it in Geneva. We did not eat breakfast at our hotel because it was very expensive. We had decided to take a trolley train tour. Actually we wanted to take all three tours, but the 2nd tour was not running to day. The 1st tour took us by some historical spots in Geneva and lasted about 30 minutes. THe 2nd tour was about 90 minutes and took us through some residential areas and by international sites. Geneva is the home of many world organizations, such as the United Nations.
After the two tours were over we ate lunch then we walked around some before heading back to our hotel around 3. Jay decided that he would like to go see a movie, so using the internet, we tried to locate a movie theatre. We found one that was a 7 minute walk away, that was showing American movies with the words being spoken in English and then subtitles in French and German. We walked to where the cinema was supposed to be and found out it was closed. We located another movie theatre a few minutes away and walked to it. It was open, but we had an hour to kill before the movie. We walked and sat on a bench for the hour.
When we went back to the theatre, the clerk asked us if we qualified for any discounts and he started naming off disounts. One of the discounts was for being unemployed, which Jay is, so he was able to get that discount. The clerk gave me a discount also as a senior citizen, even though I miss that by 2 years. We each got a code, which came in a can and a plastic glass. The seats were assigned and they were reclining chairs. It was a small theatre, probably less than 100 seats. We watched the movie. On the walk back to the hotel, we stopped at Subway and got supper and took it back to the hotel to eat.
