The bus tour took us all over Zurich and made a couple of stops so you could get out and take pictures. They gave us tickets to take the train to Uetliberg mountain. We were dropped off at the train station and from there we were on our own. The train ride was pleasant and about twenty minutes. Once we got to Uetliberg stop, we got off the train. It was a beautiful day, temperature was around 71 and the sun was shining. We then walked up to the top of the mountain. Jay, of course, had no problem walking up the mountain, I on the other had, took a lot of breaks along the way, but I eventually made it. Once at the top, there was a tower you could climb to go even higher. Neither one of us wanted to climb the tower. We ate lunch on the patio at the restaurant there.. Jay had fish and I had a hamburger. The hamburger was actually two big patties, which I could not pick the hamburger up and put it in my mouth, so I ate it with a knife and fork. If you wanted to use the toilette, it was CH 1.
After lunch, we walked back down the mountain and caught the train back to the city. We then went exploring. We wandered around and came upon some kind of celebration near a police station. They had the police band playing and a bunch of police officers standing around with what looked like family members. I think maybe it was a graduation ceremony for new recruits. After wandering around for a while, we went back to our hotel for a little nap before dinner.
Around 7, we went out to find somewhere to eat. Jay and I are bo th picky eaters, so it is not easy to find a place that we both agree on. After wandering around for over 30 minutes, we ended back at one of the first places we looked at. Jay had trout and I had the grilled shrimp. It was very good. Then back to the hotel. I need to get a good nights sleep, because tomorrow we go get our rental car to continue our tour around Switzerland.
