Jay and I went to Universal Studios Japan today. We took the Hanshin train from Osaka-Namba to Nishikujo. At that station we transferred to a JR train that took us to Universal City Station. The whole trip took about 35 minutes. It was a cloudy overcast day, but at least it wasn’t as hot as it had been. We elected to buy some express pass tickets because I am tired of waiting in line for over an hour to ride an attraction. We went to Dragon Quest first. It is where you select your character such as a warrior or sage, then you select the hand that holds your weapon and the you give yourself a name. You are put in teams of four. They give you something that looks like a hilt of a sward with out the blade and you practice the moves. Next you go into another room and you stand on a circle and try to slay the characters that appear on the screen. Then off to another room and you do another battle. There are several rooms that you go to. All of this is in Japanese. Then you see the scores. I did not do very well.
Next we went and saw the show “Waterworld” It is an action stunt show based on the movie of the same name. Everything was in Japanese. It was interesting to watch even if we did not understand what was being said.
We also rode on the Jaws ride and Jay put me on the side that got wet. So when we rode Jurassic Park, I had Jay sit on the outside, so he would get wetter then me.
The last ride we went on was Harry Potter. You sit in the seats and you fill like you are flying through the sky. After this ride we decided to skip the Flying dragon roller coaster because we were both tired. We stopped to eat at TGI Friday. Theb we took the trains back to the Namba station and walked back to our hotel.
