Today, we decided to go to Westminster Abbey, so after breakfast, off we went. We saw Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. The interesting thing about Big Ben is that it is actually the name of the bell. Then we went to Westminster Abbey. There were many famous people buried in the Abbey, such as Lewis Carroll, T. S. Eliot, and Robert Browning, along with many others. We walked all throughout the Abbey.
Next, we visited Winston Churchill’s war rooms, which he used during World War II. Afterward, we were walking by the Guards Museum when the guards came marching by on their horses. We stopped and watched them parade by. We then went to Buckingham Palace. You cannot tour the palace because the Queen lives there.
After that, we walked across Green Park and ate lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. We both had burgers. Then we decided we would go see a play that night. There is a discount ticket booth at Leicester Square. We took the subway there and found the place without any trouble. Jay chose We Will Rock You. The show started at 7:30, so we decided to go back to the hotel and rest until it was time to leave.
Around 6:30, we headed for the theater. The show was at the Dominion Theatre at Tottenham Court Road. We were able to find the theater without too much trouble. I knew we were seeing a rock opera, but the audience was very loud. When the stage lights came on to indicate that the show was about to start, the crowd began screaming. The show was very good.
After the performance, we headed back to our hotel, but first we stopped at Subway to get something to eat.
