Last day in London

[dropcap custom_class=”whb”]Today was Jay’s day to decide what we were going to do.  He wanted to visit the zoo.   We walked to Bayswater Station and found that the station was closed and the Circle line was not running today.  That meant that we had to walk a little further to the Queensway station and get on the Central line. We took it over to Tottenham Cross Road station.  There we had to switch to the Northern line and ride to Camden Town.  From this station it was about a 15 minute walk to the zoo.  They had signs showing you the way to the zoo.  Our London Pass got us into the zoo.  We spent several hours walking all over the zoo.  After the zoo, we walked back toward the Camden Town station.  We found us a restaurant to have lunch.  The restaurant was very crowded, so we ended up having to share a table.

After lunch we decided to go back to Kennsington Park and visit Kennsington Palace. Again the London Pass got us in.  After there we walked back to our hotel to rest some before dinner.

When we went out for dinner it was raining, not very hard, but enough to get you wet.  We decided to eat at another Persian restaurant.  Once we sat down, our waiter came over and it was the same waiter we had had a few nights ago at the other Persian restaurant we ate at.  Again, Jay got the Chicken kebab and I had lamb.  They also had crunchy rice which I ordered.  It came topped with a tomato sauce that reminded me of food Amir used to make. We also had dessert.  Jay had Persian ice cream.

After supper it is back to hotel to pack.  Tomorrow we have to leave England and go home.
