This morning we had to go pick our tickets for New Year’s Eve. They had set up a temporary ticket booth to collect your tickets. It was in Trafalgar Square. We got here and found the booth with out any trouble.
Our next stop was to find and apple store. When they cleaned the room, somehow they managed to destroy the Lightening to USB cable. I knew there was an Apple store in Covent Garden. It was not that far from Trafalgar Square so we decided to walk. St. Paul’s Church is also there and Jay took pictures. The Apple store was right on the square. As soon as we walked in we were asked if we could be helped. I was directed to the third floor where the accessories are located. The stairs are clear plexiglass. We climbed the stairs to the third floor, where we were again greeted and I told her what I was looking for and she took it me right to it. Then she asked if there was anything else I needed, or was I ready to pay. She has a machine so you can pay right there without having to find a cashier. After completing the purchase, I asked if there was a restroom, she let me into the staff restroom. I noticed in our way out that there were quiet a few sales people in theApple store just waiting to help you. This is so unlike the stores I am used to visiting.
Next we decided to visit the London Eye. We were able to find it, but only had time for Jay to take pictures. We needed to head back to the hotel to get ready for the soccer game. We had tickets to a Fulham game. They play in Craven Cottage. I had located the nearest tube station and then it is a ten minute walk to the stadium. We just followed the crowd of people to the stadium. Our tickets were located in the Fulham section and we were surrounded by fans. When they yelled and clapped and stood, I yelled and clapped and stood. It was an experience. One thing that surprised me, is that Visit Florida is a sponsor of the Fulham soccer club. (We live in Florida.). After the game was over, we again followed the crowd back to the tube station. We were able to get on the train and I actually snagged a seat. We made it back to our hotel and decided to order room service, because we had not had anything to eat.
