Today, we left Nuremberg and traveled by train to Munich. The train ride was supposed to take 1 hour and 9 minutes.
We ate breakfast at the hotel before checking out. I had the hotel desk clerk call a taxi to take us to the train station. We arrived at the station early and found a place to sit and wait until it was time to head to the platform and board the train. I prefer arriving early because I like to make sure I know where the platform is located.
We boarded the train, and it left on time. However, as seems to happen with all trains in Germany, it ended up arriving about 15 minutes late in Munich. Once we arrived, we took a taxi to our hotel and were able to check into our room right away.
Jay wanted to hit the streets immediately, so we left the hotel and headed to the Christmas markets, where we wandered around for quite a while. Jay found a restaurant he liked, and we stopped there for lunch.
After lunch, we continued exploring the area before heading back to the hotel so I could rest. I stayed behind while Jay went back out to find a grocery store and pick up some drinks. While he was gone, I took a nap.
After my nap, it was time to head back out again. The Christmas markets looked so beautiful at night with all the lights glowing. We eventually found a steakhouse for supper, and afterward we returned to our hotel for the evening.
