[dropcap custom_class=”whb”]This morning we got a late start.  We made our way down to Powell and Market to get CityPass booklets.  They give us unlimited rides on the municipal bus system and the cable cars.  We also get into a couple of museums and a boat ride around the bay.  We found the kiosk and stood in line to get the CityPass.  When we got up to the window, he only had one left.  We then had to go downstairs to the visitor center and stand in another line to get the CityPass.  We then went and got in another long line to get on the cable car.  We wanted to ride the cable car to Fishermans Wharf.  After waiting in line for what seemed like forever, we were getting close to getting on the cable car, when they quit running.  There was a van on the track up ahead and they were waiting for the driver to come back and move the van.  Finally the cable cars started running again.  We had to sit inside, but that was fine with me, at this point, I just wanted to sit down.  Off we went.  At the different stops along the way, more people got on, so that by the time we got to the end of the line the cable car was jam packed.  We ate lunch at a seafood restaurant.  Jay had roasted chicken and I had a shrimp sandwich.

After lunch we continued walking and found this shop with all of the neat kites.  We bought one that looks like a hot air balloon.  We made our way to the Aquarium by the Bay.  We saw the two movies they show in 3D.  One was about turtles and the other was about sharks.  After watching the movies we walked through the aquarium.

Then we walked backed to the first stop for the cable car.  The line was so long that we decided to walk to the next stop and get on there.  There was a line at that stop also, but it was much shorter.  The wait was very long though.  we were able to get on the 2nd cable car that came by.  We had to hang onto the posts because no seats were available.

Then we started looking for somewhere to eat supper.  The first place we tried had a 40 minute wait.  The next place had a thirty minute wait.  We finally saw Morton’s steakhouse and went in, it had an hour wait, but they said we could sit at the bar and eat dinner without waiting.  Jay and I chose that option, even though neither one of us are drinkers.  Jay ordered chicken and I had the filet mignon.  They also brought bread.  We just drank water.  I did not realize how thirsty I was until he handed us the water.  The meal came to $76 and we did not have any alcoholic beverages.  After dinner we walked back to our hotel.  I should add that there is a very steep hill that we have to walk up.

The weather today could not have been better.  It was in the low 60’s and sunny.  Great weather to be walking around in.
