Exploring Ancient Sinagua Sites in Arizona

After breakfast, we drove to Tuzigoot National Monument. This is a three-story hilltop pueblo built by the Sinagua people around 1100 CE. The walk to the pueblo is about a 1/4-mile loop. The entrance fee is $10, or you can use one of the National Park System passes. I have the Senior Pass.

Next, we drove to the Honanki Heritage Site, which is several miles down a dirt road. Again, my Senior Pass got us in. This site features cliff dwellings and rock art created by the Sinagua people. The walk is less than a mile. It is rocky in some places and includes several rock steps.

We then drove to several different trailheads so Jay could hike and take pictures before heading back to our condo.
